What We Offer

Melnatte Care Limited endeavors to provide the highest quality care outcome with flexibility and tailored services. Your services will be designed to meet and respond to your individual and changing needs, support and promote your rights, choices, independence and quality of life. We provide our services from 2 hours a day through to 24 hours, 7 days a week. We provide flexible approach to caring. With our services, you can enjoy the independence of living in your own home with reassurance that your needs will be met.

 
Personal Care
We will support you with all activities of daily living such as washing/bathing, dressing/undressing, Oral care, Continence care management, Meal preparation / Diet monitoring, Eating and Drinking, Administering or prompting medication. To maximise service users time and reduce the impact of travel time, we schedule our staff to work within small geographic areas.
Supported Living

The support is offered on a 24/7 full time basis with staff either sleeping over in your home or staying awake overnight. Melnatte Care will support you to independently and safely remain in you own home. As part of your living arrangement, you will be supported with the basic and physical activities of daily living to live an ordinary life as possible, this could be help with:

  • Managing bills and money
  • Cooking and healthy eating .
  • Shopping
  • Attending medical/hospital appointments
Companion Care
Melnatte Care believes that with adequate support everyone can lead a happy, healthy and stimulating life. You will be matched with a companion taking into consideration your requirements and personality. The aim of this services is to minimise the risk of social isolation and loneliness. Your allocated companion will support you continue to engage in social activities that are meaningful to you. This might include but not limited to going out for a meal on your birthday, general companionship and conversation, cooking and sharing your favourite meal and driving you to places you would like to go. Based on your likes, the companion will suggest activities for you to do.
Respite Care and Sitter Service for family Caregivers
Family caregivers need breaks from time-to-time to tend to their own needs. Melnatte Care understands that caring for loved ones is very demanding task. Recent research studies argue that lack of support/break for family carers can result in ill health or depression due to Carers stress. To help make caring more sustainable, we provide respite or a sitter service to family caregivers to allow them to take a break from their caring responsibilities. This can be from a few hours during the day to full working night shift. If you have caring responsibilities you can contact Social Care Direct and request for a Carers assessment. Under The Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 The Local Authority has a duty to assess your needs. You can request for these services in lieu of day care or care home placement.

Our care options will enable you to safely remain at home even if you have lost the ability to carry out instrumental and activities of daily living due to ageing, ill health, cognition (e.g., reasoning, planning), motor (e.g., balance, dexterity), and perceptual (including sensory) abilities.
